A successful stage 2 of EOC 2023 Tour in Lazise. A lot of fun was had dodging tourists and picking the best routes to the controls. The EOC 2023 Sprint Qualifications kick off tomorrow morning and we are excited! #eoc2023

Torri de Benaco was the beautiful location of the first race of the EOC 2023 tour today. The runners enjoyed great courses and stunning scenery.

A beautiful day on the shores of Lake Garda welcom

A beautiful day on the shores of Lake Garda welcomed the first extra stage of the EOC Tour, the circuit of itinerant and promotional races that will accompany the 2023 edition of the European Championships. Around 250 orienteers from 12 nations explored the picturesque old town of Malcesine, compass and map in hand, to find the best route to the flags.

With just under a month to go until the EOC 2023 +

With just under a month to go until the EOC 2023 + final round of World Cup, we take a look back at the most relevant moments of the Bacalà Orienteering Tour, which retraced the Via Querinissima, the historical and identity route that links the names of the Serenissima Republic of Venice and Pietro Querini.

The Relay, organised with the support of the project leader for the Via Querinissima in Norway Stefano Agnoletto, touched on some of the landmarks of the route, which emerged from the merchant's diaries: Røst, Bodø, Trondheim, Lillehammer, Gothenburg and Venice (10 August).

The European Championships will also be officially presented as part of the 36th Festa del Bacalà alla Vicentina in Sandrigo (14-25 September), which is attended by as many as 50,000 people every year. On Sunday 24th September, a non-competitive orienteering race will be held in the historical centre of the village to allow those interested to approach the discipline and challenge themselves. At the same time, the Confraternity will attend the prize-giving ceremony of the Sprint Knock-Out final in Vicenza on 8th October, at the end of which there will be a tasting of the succulent dish in the hospitality area of the Race Arena.
